Welcome to
Charm University
Our Mission
Charm University's mission is to empower and inspire teen girls to become the best version of themselves as they embark on their journey of becoming a young adult. In addition, we prepare students to be college-bound and career-focused, while providing diverse resources that will educate students in different facets of life and promote future success.
Courses of Study
Mentorship
We assign each student a dedicated mentor to help advise and guide her along her journey both inside and outside of the program. Our mentors are comprised of well diverse backgrounds, accomplishments, accolades, different career professionals and various entrepreneurs.
Life Skills
Imparting life skills education to the students is an imperative part of our program. Resume writing, money management, and public speaking are just some areas that we focus on throughout the program. Life skills are taught in a safe and non-judgmental environment by experts of that particular topic.
Community Service
Students are required to participate in community service events to learn the importance of stewardship. Community service also helps boost students' self-confidence by allowing them to see how their own efforts and skills can improve lives and the community around them.
College Prep
Good college preparation helps provide a way for students to become self-aware and analyze what they really want to do in college, and in their later life. Students will learn about the college application process, learn how to search and apply for grants and scholarships, and go on HBCU college tours.
Retreat
Each year, the students attend a retreat. The retreat allows the students to unplug, reflect and reevaluate both themselves and everything surrounding them in a safe space with the support of mentors to help guide and advise, but also within the company of their classmates whom they can relate to.
